Our mission is to make your upcoming appointment as comfortable and as pleasant as possible. Our practice is dedicated to servicing you and your families eye care needs because we understand that prevention of eye disease is the key to the well-being of our patients' sight. We provide a variety of different exams including contact lens fitting, visual acuity tests, diabetes management, glaucoma management, corneal disease management, and ophthalmoscopy/OCT.

Mark A. Weaver O.D.

Therapeutic Optometrist

Mark A. Weaver O.D. is a Therapeutic Optometrist licensed by the Texas Optometry Board. A Therapeutic Optometrist is a doctor who specializes in all aspects of eye care. Including prevention, diagnosis, and eye treatment. An optometrist is a physician with lengthy medical training, education, experience, and manages and treats all eye care needs. Doctor Weaver being a Therapeutic Optometrist provides comprehensive eye exams, manages diabetes, macular degeneration, and many other diseases that affect the eye. Doctor Weaver began his medical career in a laboratory studying microbiology, understanding parasitical diseases like TBC. He was a scrubbed in surgical tech, assisting in over 150 surgeries all over the body for over 2 years in his home town of Lake Charles, Louisiana Regional Trauma Center. Doctor Weaver worked with DOE and DOD through Fort Hood and NASA Flight. His variety of clinical experience is different from most, it allows him to consolidate knowledge and treat patients through being knowledgeable in other healthcare fields.

When it comes to eye-wear one size does in fact not fit all. Various life-styles, occupations, and activities require different types of frames and lenses. Matching your unique life-style needs the appropriate eye-wear will not only improve your vision and protect your eyes but also can enhance your appearance. For your convenience, we have a full service optical shop located on the premises featuring the latest in eye-wear and sunglasses. We have many styles, sizes and brands. Come by see us, our opticians would love to assist you in making a selection that will best suit your life-style, budget, and ophthalmic needs. For contact lens wearers, we fit contact lenses that work best according to your prescription you need. This includes sphere, toric, and multifocals. If you want to try a color, we have color contact trials in stock. We offer soft, disposable, and gas permeable lenses. We carry a variety of different power trials in stock including dailies, bi-weekly, and monthly contacts.

Privacy Policy and Insurance

Your eyes are important to us, so as a courtesy we'll bill your insurance company. We accept most major Insurance plans and vision plans including, VSP, Eye med, Spectera, and Tri-care. At the time of your visit, you should be prepared to pay your deducible, copay, refraction, as well as non-covered services Our office accepts cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. If there is ever confusion about insurance or payment please give us a call to alleviate any confusion. In the event of any overpayment you'll be promptly refunded.
 

*Please bring your current insurance card to every appointment*

Cancellations

Please notify us as early as possible if you're unable to keep your appointment or need to reschedule to allow us to use the appointment time for other patients who are in the need of eye care. There won't be a customary fee but please get in touch with us if you can't make it to your appointment.
